Opportunity summary
Employment type: FULLTIME. Postdoctoral Researcher — Boundary Element Methods for Propeller HydrodynamicsJobbeskrivelseAt the Department of Mathematical Sciences, faculty of Engineering & Science, at Aalborg University, we are looking for a postdoctoral researcher to join our group working on numerical methods for fluid mechanics. The position is for three years, is based in Copenhagen, at AAU's waterfront campus in Sydhavn, and starts 1st of October or soon thereafter. In this position, you will take a leading role in developing and implementing novel computational models within a boundary element framework, coupling the BEM with models for flow separation, viscous drag and cavitation. There is room to shape both the project direction and your own research profile. The project involves a collaboration with the propeller specialist Everllence.Relevant competencies Boundary Element Method, Finite Element Method, potential flow theory and Green's function formulations • Conformal mapping, in particular Schwarz–Christoffel transformations • Viscous-inviscid interaction and integral boundary layer methods (Kármán momentum integral method) • Numerical methods for part1 …
