The Enzyme Technology group at DTU Bioengineering is looking for a highly qualified candidate for a 3-year PhD position within the field of industrial enzyme technology. The PhD project concerns the development of novel enzyme-based conversion concepts and new robust enzymes for conversion of 1-carbon substrates and synthetic polymer materials. Field of ResearchThe field of research is advanced industrial enzyme technology. A particular target of the PhD work is aimed at identifying enzymes and reaction criteria for degradation of CO2 related substrates, and targets new ways of boosting the action of redox enzymes in general. The PhD project is tied to our international research efforts on enzyme-assisted recycling processes and involves collaboration with Australian scientists and a research stay at UNSW, Sydney, Australia is planned as a part of the PhD position.
