Offering an established interdisciplinary social science environment, the Department of Social Sciences and Business (ISE), Roskilde University, invites applications for a position as assistant professor in Societal Security and Resilience. The position is available from February 1, 2027, or as soon as possible thereafter. The position is limited to 4 years. The security environment of today is characterized by increasing complexity, uncertainty, and interconnected risks, creating new challenges for societies, public authorities, private businesses, civil society organizations, communities, and citizens. Our department aims to strengthen its research and teaching in the field of societal security and resilience, with a particular focus on governance, organisation, management, leadership of cross-sector collaboration in relation to crisis prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery in complex societies.
