Postdoc in experimental semiconductor nanophotonics - DTU Electro
Opportunity summary
The Department of Electrical and Photonics Engineering at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) invites applications for a postdoctoral position in Experimental Semiconductor Nanophotonics. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled researcher to investigate a new class of semiconductor nanocavities developed by our team. Based on extreme dielectric confinement (EDC), these structures confine light far below the wavelength scale. The project will explore their fundamental physics and their potential for new nanophotonic technologies. In particular, new types of nanolasers. The research is funded by Villum Fonden and conducted in close collaboration with NanoPhoton – Center for Nanophotonics, a Center of Excellence investigating enhanced light–matter interactions in nanocavities. You will join a large team of researchers exploring various aspects of EDC cavities. The position is primarily experimental, with a strong focus on short-pulse pump–probe spectroscopy and advanced optical characterization of nanophotonic devices. You will also have opportunities to develop new device concepts and contribute to fabrication in DTU’s state-of-the-art cleanroom facilities. The position offers the opportunity to conduct high-impact research with potential applications in quantum technologies and integrated photonics1 …
