We are looking for a PhD candidate to investigate adaptive restorative XR at the intersection of HCI, machine learning, biosensing, and accessibility. You will design and evaluate trustworthy, interpretable XR experiences in a joint DTU-KTH project with co-supervision and extended research stays at KTH. Responsibilities and qualifications Your overall focus will be to develop and evaluate human-state-aware XR environments that support stress recovery and well-being. You will combine system development, multimodal user-state modelling, interaction design, and empirical evaluation. Prototype adaptive and accessible restorative XR environments. Model user state from physiological and behavioural signals and design interpretable adaptations. Conduct laboratory studies and longer-term field deployments.
