Opportunity summary

Employment type: FULLTIME. Director/VP Licensing & IP Take ownership of the IP strategy behind advanced non-invasive healthtech. The CEO has been leading the IP work so far, but the business has reached the point where this now needs a dedicated person to take it on properly. You’ll become the person who leads the IP work day to day, keeps track of what is being filed, strengthens the patent portfolio and makes sure important innovation is captured before it is missed. You’ll work across optical system design, spectrometer technology and multivariate analysis, which are the key areas where the company is currently filing IP. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be expected to understand what is happening technically, identify where the IP opportunities are, and drive the process yourself. You’ll report directly to the CEO, giving you close access to the person currently holding the work and the chance to take real ownership quickly. Licensing may also become part of the role so you’ll help prepare the ground for that by creating sensible licensing frameworks and understanding where commercial opportunities could sit.
