About the role You will provide regular one-to-one support for a 9-year-old boy with autism and an intellectual disability. He needs close support, clear structure and a calm approach that helps create predictability. The boy is energetic, enjoys being active and particularly likes outdoor play, trips to the playground and running in the woods. He also enjoys activities such as puzzles, music, bubbles, balloons and sensory toys. Your role is to plan and take part in activities that match his pace and needs. As he has limited awareness of danger, it is important that you stay close to him and remain attentive to his surroundings. The role includes assistance with personal care, including bathing, changing diapers and toilet training. You will also provide support at mealtimes, with a focus on motivating and guiding him towards gradually becoming more independent.
